For the first "2020 Hualien Pacific Hot Spring Festival", the theme of the event is "Hero and Beauty, Wonderful Two Spring Areas". The special light exhibition areas, flower fountain show, dream tree lights and the Japanese-style lamp corridor make the hot spring area more dazzling at night. The romantic atmosphere also makes people feel impressive.

Ruisui Hot Spring Area: Ruixiang Hot Spring Park

In the autumn and winter, it is harvest season in the Rift Valley, and the mist from the golden spring is slowly rising into the sky. The heroes who are standing under the cherry blossoms are full of emotion and are singing and hope you can find the original touch together.

Antong Hot Spring Area: Antong Hot Spring Hotel

The fountain show in the mountains and forests is the beautiful woman who tells her miss through her dance. It is surrounded by mountains and is just like a paradise. It is worthy for you, slow down and enjoy it.

花蓮好湯 ONSEN

Ruisui Hot Spring is located in Ruisui Township, Hualien County. It has two spring qualities: "Hydrocarbon Sodium Spring" and "Carbonate Spring". It is also called "Gold and Silver Double Hot Spring". The carbonate spring is the only one in Taiwan that is as famous as the "Arima Onsen", one of the three famous springs in Japan.

The temperature of the spring is about 48 degrees. The spring water is rich in minerals such as iron and barium. It is yellow and turbid. It is called "Golden Soup".

After the water's iron content has oxidized into the atmosphere, a layer of muddy, yellow crystallized matter with a light, rusty aroma is left on the surface of the water. This crystallized matter is called "hot spring flowers".

According to legend, there is a high chance of having a boy after soaking, which is believed to be related to the low-alkaline spring water with a pH of about 6 to 7. It is also known as the " Give Birth to a Son Spring" and "Hero Soup".

Ruisui Hot Spring was discovered by the Japanese in 1919 that the quality of the spring was the same as Arima Onsen in Japan, so it became a famous place for bathing.

During the Japanese occupation, the Hongye Hot Springs were already very well known. The Japanese set up a police sanatorium, which became the privately-run Hongye Hot Springs Hotel after the Japanese left Taiwan.

One of the eight great scenes of Hualien, the "Hongye Creek" tells about the scenery formed by Ruisui Hot Springs, Hongye Hot Springs, and Hongye Creek at the source. It is the camphor trees planted by the Japanese at the time on both sides of the hot spring path. Giant trees are shaded and the scenery is beautiful.

The Antong Hot Spring is located in Yuli Township.

The temperate reaches 66°C, and the spring waters are plentiful. The outlets of the springs are located along the Antong River, covering 200 to 300 meters from start to finish.

The locals sometimes go to the riverbank to dig holes which fill with water, providing them with open air bathing, and adding to the outdoor, country atmosphere.

The quality of the spring is "acid-sulfate-chloride hot spring", which is low-alkaline. The water is almost completely clear. It has a salty taste and a faint hydrogen sulfide smell. After soaking, the skin is smooth. It is also called "beauty soup". These springs are good for treating various conditions, such as activate blood, stomach and intestine ailments, skin ailments, gynecological diseases, and wounds.

In 1904, as a Japanese gentleman was going up the mountain to pick camphor, he discovered the springs on the banks of the Antong River. By 1930, the Japanese had built a police guest house at this location, and also set up a public bathing pool, gradually developing this place into a major hot springs area.

The predecessor of Antong Hot Spring Hotel was a public bathing area. During the Japanese occupation period, Japanese-style bungalows with tatami were built with cypress wood and are now listed as historical monuments.

"An-tong spring", listed as one of the eight great scenes of Hualien, describes the scene of local residents bathing in hot springs.

Pass by Provincial Highway No.9 to 270.5 kilometers, turn right to Wenquan Road Section 2 (Hua 62), continue for about 1.7 kilometers to arrive at Ruisui Hot Spring Area.

Take the Taiwan Railway to Ruisui Station and transfer to a taxi (about 4 kilometers) to arrive at the Ruisui Hot Spring Area.

After passing through Provincial Highway No.9 (Mountain Line) to 283 kilometers, turn to Yuchang Road and continue for about 2.5 kilometers to reach the Antong Hot Spring Area.

Pass through Provincial Highway No.11 (Sea Line) to 96 kilometers, turn to Yuchang Road and continue for about 14 kilometers, you will arrive at the Antong Hot Spring Area.

Take the Taiwan Railway to Yuli Station and take a taxi (about 8.2 kilometers) to arrive at the Antong Hot Spring Area.
